![]() ![]() Evidentally there has been several other instances of lay off at this company, and you'd hope they would learn from the firs one. I decided not to reapply since I didn't feel secure in the position and didn't trust their information for the new job since I was never paid what I was told. There were roughly 80 people eliminated and only 26 of these new positions. After 6 months working at the position, our entire department was laid off without any notice and told that we could reapply for another similar position come the following Monday. They changed our comp plans about 3 times since I was hired, and never once came close to what they told me I'd be paid and our goals were never met. There were only a handful in this position when I was hired, and no one was hitting the salary as stated when hired. I was given specific goals and confirmed the salary average that was paid employees in this position prior to accepting the job. I was recruited from another company for a new position at Houzz. You just go long periods of time without seeing that because they are usually in their cubicles silently making phone - more. The people there are high-energy and fun. Those with a high tolerance for boredom can find motivation and enjoyment from working with a great team. If you do exceedingly well they will notice and promote you faster. Creative types will likely keel over from boredom.ĭriven, competitive types can find a lot of meaning in friendly competition of teams vs teams and try to raise their numbers. If you have a high tolerance for boredom and rejection over the phone then you will get to enjoy the perks of working for this amazing company. No other tasks except for the occasional e-mail. The only reason I think anyone would quit is if the work itself is not your forte or you want a different line of work. The goals are usually achievable and if many people don't achieve them for some reason they immediately change things to match reality. Health care is great! There are opportunities for advancement after 6 months of consistent work and meeting your goals. They really go above and beyond for their employees. They provide snacks, personal development training, and fun activities for holidays. The office itself is beautiful and has a great location. ![]() Bonuses and commission are not guaranteed for entry level, but they often have contests and bonuses for hitting or exceeding goals as part of seasonal promotions. Always implementing new ways to engage employees and motivate them. ![]()
